Concurrent computation: multiple tasks can be in progress in any time.

Parallel computation (which is concurrent): multiple tasks cooperate closely to solve a problem.

Distributed computation (which is concurrent): a program might need to cooperate with other programs to solve a problem. This cooperation is looser then parallelism, as computers are typically connected through the Internet rather then being connected by design by the hardware itself.
